School Violence
Assault with fists are no longer news at a time when the armed aggression is cold. Violence in schools is increasing worldwide. But not until a child takes a gun and murder that is news.
A national study of violent deaths in U.S. schools by the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control found that 77 percent of school deaths were caused by firearms. Knives accounted for 17 percent. According to a WHO study in Israel on 25 percent of boys and 6 percent of girls carry a weapon to school for protection.

Support from adults in schools is essential in preventing student violence. quality time should be spent with students, addressing their problems, dispelling fears etc.
* Giving students compared
Avoid any action that would be treated as bias or prejudice. Students who are treated unfairly often resort to violence
* Has a reference system for neglected and abused
students who need urgent attention and care because things go out of hand
* Be involved in future planning
Help develop students’ skills so that their transition to a future life is smooth
How can we help parents
Research shows that children up to adolescence, yearn for adults to take care of their lives to talk about critical issues that baffle them. In their first year of life who seek guidance of parents in the same way. Only parents can eliminate confusion in the minds of children and teach them how to tackle difficult issues. Some ways to help them are:
* Talk with children openly and honestly

* Encourage them to come to you with problems
