Facts About Blood Testing Centres
Blood testing is necessary to be able to RBC, WBC and platelet of a person to determine. A blood test is a laboratory analysis in a specific place, such as a room or a center where various types of blood is tested.
A blood test is a laboratory analysis in a specific place, such as a room or a center where various types of blood is tested. Apart from this, the facilities are a bit larger than a regular room.
Blood tests are usually done in order to know the physiological and biochemical composition and to determine whether the presence of a disease and mineral content. Other uses this to know the effectiveness of a drug, and organ function. The process of obtaining blood from a patient is done by extracting blood from the veins with a syringe or via finger prick.
Samples of blood can also be derived from a patient, either through an IV or via the patient’s internal vein or artery. Once blood is taken from a patient through his or her internal vein, it would mean thats is more an exception cause serious because the type of blood is taken one would go to different parts of the body and the heart working.
If you notice, some blood samples from the elbow. A tourniquet is tied around the arm’s upper portion, so that the vein is visible enough to be injected for extraction. Then the tourniquet released to production is done.
Hence, make sure that the part of the skin is cleaned before and after the extraction. This is to infection and contamination of the blood to the part where blood will be won or was removed. After extraction, the pressure on an alcohol swab on the part of the skin for one to two minutes and then sealing with plaster.
Just in case the patient’s blood from a vein, usually from the wrist. This is even more painful when compared to obtaining blood from an IV, because there are a lot of nerves around the vascular wall. So, after this procedure, do not forget the cotton ball with one touch of alcohol around the area in order to prevent further bleeding. Hold this for five minutes.
There are some people who are sensitive to seeing blood, especially if their blood. As a tip, in case a patient like this is spotted, ask them to lie on a bed before the procedure. Make sure you know what to do in case the patient faints. Ask for assistance if needed.
Why is it necessary to examine our blood?
Our blood contains elements called plasma (liquid) and cells. Cells have three types, they are or what we call the WBC, white blood cells, RBC or red blood cells and platelets. Being able to learn about a person who is good, especially the disease, the blood is the best source for this information. So this is why the medical staff will receive samples of blood from the patient for some tests, when the doctor per request.
The medical staff will then measure the volume of the cells when the blood smear. Blood smear can be defined as a blood film. This blood smear, will be placed on a slide and will be reviewed and examined through a microscope.
Below is a portion of the blood components that test medical staff to observe through a microscope, which listed and interpreted by the physician:
1. Red blood cells and red blood cells (BAC) containing hemoglobin. This hemoglobin transports oxygen to all parts of the body.
* MCV or Mean Corpuscular Volume test – This is a form of blood tests that the actual size of your body’s red blood cells measures.
Generally, if a patient dizziness, the person is thought to suffer from anemia. This would mean that the person hemoglobin level below normal capacity. It is noted that the actual size of the red blood cells would depend on the type of anemia the person has.
* Hematocrit – measures the sum of the red blood cells, which was won by the blood.
A person with anemia usually has a low hematocrit volume. A high volume of hematocrit may occur if a patient is dehydrated. Example, if the patient is suffering from diarrhea or dehydration due to surgery.
Note, if the red blood cells are light in color, it can be a sign of iron deficiency. In case your doctor notices that your blood cells have an irregular shape, the shape of sickle cell anemia.
Finally, medical personnel also use blood tests as a way to find out whether the patient has parasites or malaria. There is a blood type which is called the bacterial test, for cases of food poisoning.
2. White blood cell (WBC)
Medical personnel like doctors count not only the red blood cells, white blood cells also. This process is called differential white blood cell count.
If the number of white blood cells is higher than the red, this is an indication of a bacterial infection.
So it is often observed that if a person has a large number of white blood cells, it may be a sign of cancer or malaria.
A patient experiencing a so-called auto-immune deficiency would cover in a low volume of white blood cells. Immunity helps the body fight certain types of diseases, thus, a lack of immunity, a person prone to diseases easily. Besides these are people with weak immunity and medical treatment with drugs that stimulate the body’s immune system.
