10th Anniversary brings new direction for national African American Business Summit

The African American Business Summit 2007 will take place in and around Los Angeles, California, with an assortment of diverse programs which celebrates its 10th anniversary milestone.

Since October this year, African American Business Summit has partnered with the TPC Foundation, Inc., and Turning Point Urban Magazine. This new collaboration with Turning Point URBAN Summit provides an opportunity to expand and include all multi-ethnic, business professionals nationwide.

During the last nine years, African American Business Summit has been consistent in providing solutions to the problems faced by several small urban businesses – from access to capital for new business acquisition, operational excellence. Nationally recognized as the “must attend” event for entrepreneurs and business executives, the 10th anniversary will be celebrated at the Los Angeles Convention Center, June 21 and 22, 2007.

The event will feature the opening day keynote by Dennis Kimbro , Ph.D.; timely general sessions including the Mayor’s Roundtable on Urban Development, which presents several mayors of major U.S. metropolitan cities United challenging the state urban development, and Friday, June 22, 2007 – The Turning Point URBAN Business Expo, where companies will showcase and provide demonstrations 10 am-3 pm, which for the 10th anniversary will be free to the public business.

Additional African American Business Summit Point URBAN 2007/Turning and events are: Wednesday, June 20 – TPC Foundation, Inc. Golf Tournament will be held at the Malibu Country Club Malibu, CA 90 265. HE . Herb J. Wesson Jr. from the Los Angeles City District 10 is Honorary President.

On the night of Thursday after the African American Business Summit 2007 scheduled conferences and meetings, an opening VIP reception will be held at 5:00 pm Then at 7:00 PM, there will be a very special Jazz and reception of art in honor of the renowned artist Synthia Santiago at an additional site.

On Friday night after the Turning Point URBAN Business Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Tiffany & Co. will host a special VIP Reception in Beverly Hills, California at 5:00 PM.

And finally on Friday, beginning at 7:30 PM – The African American Business Summit 10th Anniversary Dinner and Gala will honor those who serve as catalysts to unite the community such as: Moctesuma Esparza, President / CEO Maya Cinemas and members of California State University Board of Trustees, Pat Tobin, President of Tobin & Associates, Sean Harrigan, President of Los Angeles Department of Fire and Police Pensions, Gwen-Marie Thomas Professor of Business and Management in West Los Angeles Community College ; Creator 2007 living history at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

And on Saturday 23 June, the TPC Foundation, Inc. will present its Smart Start Youth Financial Literacy Program at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA.
